Finally, in San Rafael

So were here, after a pretty long run of flights, we got bumped off our flight by Qantas to another flight to Sydney. The Hawaiian Airlines flight was great, nice plane, good crew and food. No problems and amazingly our luggage made all the connections. Hawaii looks really nice, maybe we should have stopped there for a day or twl??

In San Francisco around 8.30 pm last night, shuttle to Hyatt which was awesome! Lovely room, beautiful hotel. Geoff picked up the car this morning, it's Toyota Prius a hybrid!! Poor Geoff he had to deal with driving on the other side of the road, being in the wrong side of the car and now all this hybrid stuff. But he's doing great and we haven't driven on the wrong side yet!! The car is actually really really nice, I think I would like one when we get home to stay.

So the drive through San Fran without a GPS was easier than we expected, it looks lovely and we will definately go back for a few day treks. Sausalito was a short stop after crossing the Golden Gate bridge (see photo) FABULOUS!! A little town nestled on the bay with yachts everywhere and marina's, pretty houses a really nice place, we will go back there on Monday for the Survey.

Oh and it's warm!! The weather has turned on a show for us, so it feels like a nice Brisbane winter day, not much wind, sunny skies and crisp air.

We got a quick peek on Sundance today, a little smaller inside than we expected and bit more wear and tear is obvious. Plus it will definately need a new Oven and a fair few repairs done before we could head off. So tomorrow we will go back and have another look, then Monday we sail her 2 hours down to the survey.....that's when we will decide if she is the boat for us??

Tonight we are in a Travel lodge in San Rafael, got free internet access, so that's great for keeping touch. But we may move to Sausalito when the boat is hauled for survey. So for today, that's it...were safe, tired, glad to be here and not too COLD!!
