Now in Book format!!

How time flies when you get back into urban life!! It has been nearly eight months since we tied off our lines at Dockside. That is about the same amount of time it took us to do the whole adventure, scary.

So here we are, Sea Otter sold and currently sailing her way north along the Queensland coast with new owners Martin and Angela. We hear from them occasionally and all seems to be going well. sign......

So what have I been up to? Well I won't bore you with the actual realities but instead fill you in on the release of the Book format of Sextons at Sea!! Yep, I decided to put it all into a nice glossy coffee table book for Geoff's Birthday. Deleted a few odd comments, added a lot more photo's but basically it's as it was in the Blogs you read.

A blip in the radar of time and she's gone!

It's not been a year, can you believe that? But within that time we have left home, bought a boat, explored the San Francisco bay area, made friends, geared up, sailed across the South Pacific, arrived home and....sold the boat!

Yep as of the 1st of February we are no longer the owners of the lovely Sea Otter. She sits at Southport Yacht Club awaiting her new owners. I can just about hear her saying 'come on, lets get going again, I'm bored'

It's a sad and happy time, a small blip in the radar of time. A good year. Lucky number 8. Left on the 8th of February in the year 2008. 8 months away.

The new owners are currently working in Tasmania till end of March, so until that time we will check on our girl, make sure the mooring lines are ok, the bilge is dry and she's not too dirty. We will have our unit at Maldives back on the 1st of March, so it will be easier to pop in on her, pat that glossy bum and remember what a great boat she turned out to be.

And what a great year 2008 was.

Farewell Sea Otter, and as cruising yachties say to their friends.....fair winds, smooth seas.
